Love Island’s Amber Gill has shared that she fibbed on her introduction video tape for the 2019 series of the romance show – before backtracking.
The reality TV personality, 21, said “she told a full on lie” about “never being rejected” to “sound more interesting” on her Instagram story on Wednesday but then contradicted herself.
The footage began with Amber telling her fans how she has been receiving a number of messages from fans asking her about the new Love Islanders in the upcoming season.
She began: “As far as my opinions go on the islanders, it is hard to say because I don’t want to form an opinion yet because I was saying all sorts of madness in my VT.”
The former beauty therapist added: “So and I wouldn’t’t want anyone to judge me for that – even though that is what its there for.”
Revealing she had told a fib, she continued: “But I am sure I said I have never been rejected..or something like that which was full on lie but I wanted to sound interesting.
She then backtracked by writing atop of the clip: “Well not a lie but I’ve never been rejected because I’ve never made the first move loool.”
Amber won £25,000 after being named Love Island 2019 champion with Greg O’Shea last summer.
She previously was coupled up with Michael Griffiths who ditched her when he went to Casa Amor and returned to the main villa with Joanna Chimonides.
Weeks later Joanna was voted off the show and Michael tried to win Amber back but she decided she was over him.
