Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston fans are desperate to see the former couple back together after their chemistry-laden display at the SAG Awards on Monday.
Almost exactly 15 years after they announced their separation, the pair were spotted kissing and holding hands backstage at the glitzy event.
But it would certainly be a turn out for the books given their painful split which saw Brad ride off into the sunset with his Mr and Mrs co-star Angelina Jolie .
Both Brad, 56, and Jen, 50, admitted there’d been trouble brewing for some time and pals claimed their busy work schedules made it almost impossible for them to ‘maintain intimacy’.
And when Jen struggled emotionally with the end of Friends in 2004, she said Brad – who by that point was filming Mr and Mrs Smith – “just wasn’t there for me.
He didn’t even show for filming of the final episode.
However, there was also another theory doing the rounds and that was that an unusual household purchase by architect-enthusiast Brad had tipped Jen over the edge.
According to the bizarre report in Star magazine, Jen hit the roof when Brad came home with a stainless-steel prison toilet and sink to install in their beautiful Beverly Hills home, sparking a row that was supposedly the beginning of the end.
After all, he’d previously kitted their bathroom out in luxurious marble and had an enormous bathtub rolled in ‘pyramid style’ for him and Jen to get down and dirty in.
“The bathroom was the first thing in the house I worked on at the time when Jen and I were really hooking up strong,” he told W magazine in 2001.
“Things are on your mind…and I guess I had a dirty mind at the time.”
Reps for both denied the toilet tale, and it was Brad’s ‘enchantment’ with Angelina that is said to have hammered the final nail in the coffin.
The actor went on to raise six children with Ange before their acrimonious divorce in 2016.
Since then, he’s reignited his friendship with Jen, attending her 50th birthday party and Christmas bash in December.
And when Jen walked on stage to collect her Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor SAG for The Morning Show, he was seen starring at the screen backstage declaring, ‘wow!’
Jen labelled his reaction “sweet” and was seen laughing and smiling as he made a gag about his marriage to Ange.
Accepting his best supporting actor gong for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Brad joked about the similarities between himself and his character, who shoots his wife with a crossbow.
“It was a difficult part, a guy who takes his shirt off, gets high and doesn’t get on with his wife. It was a big stretch, big,” he quipped as Jen looked on.
