Coronation Street viewers were in tears tonight as Michelle Connor made an emotional exit.
Kym Marsh has bid farewell to the cobbles after 14 incredible years on the soap – filled with baby tragedy, marriage heartbreak and a few weddings.
Michelle made her tear-jerking departure in the back of a cab after discovering who she had sold the Bistro to.
She was furious when she realised that her nasty former boss Ray had got his hands on her pride and joy.
Fuming Michelle said: “You’ve been itching to get one over me ever since you dropped that lawsuit. You bought this place on purpose to rub my nose in it.”
Ray claimed it was just “bad timing”, adding: “The fact is my hands are already over your Bistro. I’m the new owner. Fair and square.”
But Michelle vowed to get revenge on the “creep” and started smashing up the Bistro.
Carla managed to stop her friend and comforted her as she burst into tears and accepted her fate.
Michelle wished Ray good luck as she handed over the keys and left the Bistro for the final time.
After making sure her boys had sorted out their differences, Michelle jumped into the back of a taxi as they waved her off.
Michelle burst into tears but smiled as she drove off into the sunset.
Corrie viewers took to Twitter to praise Kym for her performances over the years.
One fan said: “Going to miss michelle so much, kym has done truly incredible things over the last 14 years !!”
“Great Acting one of my fave characters and shame she’s leaving as can see great scope for her on more vengeance storylines which she plays brilliantly,” added another.
A third said: “I’m gonna miss Michelle Connor so much. Kym has been incredible to watch and hope she returns one day”
“Tonight’s episode was outstanding! I was crying watching Michelle and Carla. I thought exit was done well. Kym is an outstanding actress who has talent she does even know she possesses. This kind of talent is rare. I will miss her on Corrie . I wish her good luck. Xx,” said a fourth.
