Dancing On Ice star Vanessa Bauer feared she’d “broken” her face after slamming into the rink wall during intense training.

The professional figure skater, 23, was practising for the hit ITV live shows when she went head-first into the rink wall.

A painful Instagram video showed the star gracefully skating across the ice and performing a range of tricks before losing her balance and launching head-first into the wall.

The wounded professional captioned her post: “THAT just happened. I literally thought I broke my face. It started off so well lol… good thing I know how to stop, not.

“At least  @theicecapture  caught it so you’re welcome guys.”

“I’m very competitive and I definitely want to win. Or just get very far, I do want to do well.

“I’d be raging if I spent so much time training and then get voted off in the first couple of weeks. I won’t like that.”
