EastEnders fans were sickened tonight after discovering what Linda Carter said to Mick on new Year’s Eve.
Drunk Linda made a disgusting comment to her husband over the phone which left the Queen Vic landlord in tears before doing exactly the same thing to best pal Sharon Mitchell.
But the shocking moment was not seen on screen as Linda blanked out – and the entire episode was from her viewpoint.
Viewers finally found out what Linda had told Mick when she woke up hungover on New Year’s Day.
Linda mocked Mick for having panic attacks, before making a vile comment about his reaction to finding out Dean had raped her.
Slamming her behaviour, Mick said: “You’re hurting other people. Do you remember what you said to me on the phone last night? Of course you don’t. Shall I remind you?
“You told me I was boring and I should go and shut my mouth and pop my pills. You also said Ii was a sorry excuse of a man because I didn’t sort out Dean after what he did to you. That’s strong words, L.”
Horrified Linda apologised for her nasty comments and claimed it wasn’t her real self speaking.
Linda promised to do Dry January, then pleaded with her husband to let her go to bed and not see son Ollie in her state.
Linda also managed to upset Sharon by kicking out her pregnant best friend in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Ian Beale was horrified to see dishevelled Sharon in tears on his doorstep after a night on the streets.
Sharon revealed she had argued with Linda then spent the night walking around and riding the night tube.
EastEnders viewers flocked to Twitter to slam Linda for her nasty comments.
One viewer said: “When your drunk the truth comes out….linda is a toxic woman…all the time she abusing mick…”
“This Mick and Linda scene is so sad, alcoholism doesn’t just destroy the addict’s life, it destroys their families, relationships and friendships,” added another.
A third said: “OMG can’t believe Linda actually brought up Dean of all people while totally off her face on New Year’s seriously? Poor Mick, he’d clearly be so much better off WITHOUT her”
“Linda. Drunk You is you x1000. Always had a venomous, judging tongue, with or without the booze,” said a fourth.
