Gweneth Paltrow waited a whole year to move in with her now husband Brad Falchuk after the pair wed in 2018.
And now, the former actress who famously “consciously uncoupled” from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in 2014, has said that her sex life is practically ‘over’ now that she shares a bed with her second husband.
Opening up about her relationship in February’s issue of Harper Bazaar, the 47-year-old expressed her opinion that living with your partner can ruin intimacy.
“So our sex life is over. I think living separately certainly helps with preserving the idea that this person has their own life.”
She added: “So this is something I’m trying to remain aware of now as we merge together”.
In the insightful interview, Gweneth also revealed her fondness for Chris Martin’s girlfriend and 50 Shades Of Grey star Dakota Johnson.
She said: “I love her. I can see how it would seem weird because it’s kind of unconventional.”
“But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively, I just adore her.”
Gweneth who shares Apple,15, and 13-year-old son Moses with ex-husband Chris Martin, said of her previous split household arrangement : “I thought it was really interesting how resonant that was for people.”
“One of my best friends was like ‘That is my dream. Don’t ever move in’.
Opening up about her future career projects and ventures, the 47-year-old admitted that she has no plans to return to acting.
“I really don’t know that I can bear it” she revealed.
“The last movie I starred in, I was pregnant with my daugher. It was a movie called Proof, an adaption of a play I did, and I was like, ‘I’ve had it”.
“I can’t do this anymore” she added.
Falchuk and Paltrow both have two children, and married in 2018 after meeting at a Hollywood party.
