Holly Willoughby has received cruel insults over her controversial This Morning outfit choice.

The presenter returned to our screens on Monday morning at the slightly earlier time of 10am as part of the new ITV daytime schedule.

Holly Willoughby’s Instagram followers fell in love with her multicoloured patchwork dress from Chinti and Parker, which costs £295.

Holly wrote: “And we are back! Don’t miss the top of the show as we start at 10am today… bringing you and extra 30 minutes of @thismorning in all it’s glory! 2 hours and 30 minutes of live telly to keep you company until 12:30… we got you! … today’s #hwstyle dress by @chintiandparker shoes @lkbennettlondon.”

However, the Liverpool Echo reports that the post has since caused quite a fuss, with some even branding the outfit ‘terrible’.

In her Instagram comments, one critic said: “Gorgeous as always but terrible dress.”

“Ah cool, you are wearing my nan’s curtains,” added another sarcastic user.

A third said: “Horrible dress, but good to see you.”

However, loads of Holly’s Instagram followers fell in love with her dress and were full of compliments.

One fan said: “Loved this dress Holly..so different modern and chic”

“Wow beautiful dress, my kind of style, love it, “added another.

A third said: “I really love that dress and it suits you.”

Holly returned to Tuesday’s This Morning with a red This Is Whistles dress that went down a treat with viewers.

Compliments ranged from “absolutely fabulous” to “stunningly gorgeous” – with many fans envious of Holly’s legs.
