James Argent has reportedly checked himself into a retreat in Thailand after “two drug overdoses”.
The 32-year-old TOWIE star reportedly sparked concern after he was hospitalised for the second time in two months at the end of 2019.
And now, according to The Sun , James is seeking out professional help in a bid to turn his life around.
Speaking to the publication, an source close to the reality tv star revealed that James wants to start the new year on a positive note in terms of his health, and has decided to check himself into a specialist facility in Thailand.
“Arg has jetted off to Thailand to start the New Year at a specialist facility”.
“He has realised he needs help with his recent addiction issues and with his weight loss battle, so has turned to professionals” they added.
And according to reports from The Sun , the price of attempting to change his lifestyle isn’t cheap as Arg is said to be staying in a facility which costs around £20,000 a month.
It’s said that Arg will not return back to the UK until he’s one hundred percent happy, healthy and positive that he is back on the right track again.
“Arg is receiving some of the best care in the world and so is in an environment to finally improve his physical and mental state”.
“Nobody knows when he will be back and he hasn’t put a time limit on it – he’ll be back home when he’s fit and well again and he’s determined to make that happen.”
In December an ambulance was reportedly called to the former Towie star’s £1.3 million home after worried pals raised the alarm as he went missing for 48 hours.
His on-off girlfriend Gemma Collins then dialled 999 after he failed to return friends’ calls.
The pair later broke up due to the strain on their relationship, but reunited with a lavish trip to Dubai in an attempt to make things work once again.
Meanwhile, Gemma has recently admitted that she’s worried that her future baby could end up being “boring”.
She fears that her future offspring will be nothing like her, and that it won’t like singing and dancing.
The 38-year-old former TOWIE star has spoken before about her hope of starting a family with on-off boyfriend Arg.
And now she’s told New magazine: “What if it doesn’t like singing, dancing, pink fluff? Can you imagine? I hope it’s a fabulous creation.
“It’ll have a very over-the-top nursery – come on, it’s The GC’s baby. My only worry is what if it comes out and it’s really boring? That would get me very nervous.
“I hope she’s like me.”
Gemma said her baby may end up being named after gangster film hardman Ray Winstone, as Arg is such a big fan of the genre.
The reality star says she just has a feeling that her first child will be a girl, so Arg’s plan to name it after Ray Winstone and Ray Liotta could be ruined, although he’d probably just spell it Rae instead.
