Justin Bieber will open up on battle with controversial lyme disease in upcoming doc

A new documentary about Justin Bieber set to air later this month will detail for the very first time his battle with lyme disease.

The documentary will air on YouTube on 27th January, and it’s reported that Justin will open up about lyme disease, a controversial illness which often attracts speculation in the medical community as to whether it is real.

Sources who have previewed the documentary told TMZ that Justin talks about the terrifying symptoms he was experiencing, and the depression he felt after medical professionals failed to diagnose him for a long time.

The disease is spread through tick bites, and causes a rash on the skin at first.

NHS UK says later symptoms can include: “A high temperature, or feeling hot and shivery, headaches , muscle and joint pain, tiredness and loss of energy”.

The disease has attracted a lot of attention as famous celebs have been diagnosed with it, including Yolanda Hadid and her children Bella and Anwar Hadid.

Yolanda has become a spokesperson for people suffering with the illness, and she told ABC in 2017: “This is such an invisible disability, where you look beautiful on the outside yet you’re dying on the inside.”

She also said that at one point, the disease caused her so much pain she contemplated suicide.

The Real Housewives star regularly documents her alternative therapies she uses to try to rid herself of the disease.

There is still not a general consensus as to whether Chronic Lyme Disease is real, as the symptoms can be vague and encompass many different things which could also be caused by other illnesses.

Photos of Bieber crying and also leaving a medical centre in Beverly Hills last year with an IV drip in his arm left fans wondering what the star was battling.

His issues with depression were publicly known, but the documentary will reveal the cause of his depression was his undiagnosed symptoms.

But sources say Biebs is now being treated properly, his skin has cleared up and he is ready for his new album release and tour – and he’s also announced that afterwards, he wants to start a family with wife Hailey Bieber.
