Linda Nolan says that Motorhead star and notorious ladies’ man Lemmy never stood a chance with her or her sisters – despite rumours of a fling.
The late rocker had a soft spot for each and every one of the Nolan sisters, but sadly none of them were interested.
He once said he’d been taken by the singing siblings after meeting them all backstage at Top Of The Pops, but the feelings weren’t reciprocated.
Lemmy, who died in 2015, once said: “No [there was no fling], but it wasn’t for the want of trying.
“They are awesome chicks. People forget those girls were onstage with Frank Sinatra at the age of 12.
“They’ve seen most things twice.
“We were on Top of the Pops at the same time as them and our manager was trying to chat up Linda: the one with the bouffant hair and the nice boobs.
“He dropped his lighter and bent down to pick it up. Linda said to him, ‘While you’re down there, why don’t you give me a…’
“It blew him away. We didn’t expect that from a Nolan sister. None of us did.”
He added: “We were supposed to be the smelliest, loudest motherf*****s in the building but we more than met our match.
“We were in awe. You couldn’t mess with the Nolan sisters.”
Linda was recently quizzed by a fan who was desperate to know if anything went down between her and Lemmy, and she set the record straight.
She also said while she couldn’t remember the X-rated comment she’s said to have made to Motorhead’s manager, that it wouldn’t have been a big deal anyway, because it was actually her husband.
The 60-year-old said: “Absolutely none of us, sorry to disappoint!”
She added to the Irish Sun that Lemmy never stood a chance.
She said: “Fun about the TOTP meeting was the guy who I probably said that to – I don’t remember saying it but probably did – was actually my late husband Brian.
“He was managing them for a while, but they didn’t realise we were together.”
