Love Island cast ‘clones’ of former popular stars from looks to characters

Love Island is set to hit our screens in a matter of days – and as the sexy singletons were revealed, some viewers heads have been turned – in the wrong way.

Fans of the show have noticed striking similarities with this years winter line-up and popular Islanders of the past, down to their occupations, personalities and interests.

Several faces who eerily resemble both looks and character from Love Island’s past including Yewande Biala who fans have claimed is another version of this years star Leanne Anaming.

Other viewers have commented on the likeliness of this seasons islander Mike and Gabby Allen’s ex Marcel who was one of the favourites of 2018’s season.

Mike who is a policeman by profession, also bears similarity to last year’s Michael – in terms of character and profession- who was famous with the Love Island ladies due to the fact he worked sexy fireman outside of the villa.

In this sense, Mike and Michael have been selected by producers not only due to their good looks, but also because of their interesting and unpredictable professions.

Their also bears striking resemble in terms of occupation with this year’s Leanne hoping to become a professional makeup artist, while last season’s Amber was known for her incredible makeup skills as a professional.

Scientist Yewnade can also be compared to this season’s Sophie who works as a medial PA. Both stars represent the type of girl chosen for the show by producers.

Last season, fans were left disappointed by the lack of diversity in the line-up after it was previously claimed that people of “all shapes and sizes” would be featured in the show.

Calls for a more representative group of men and women in show were led by former contestants Alexandra Cane and Malin Andersson who both expressed their disappointment over the line-up.
