Leanne Amaning has accused scorned Mike Boateng of “playing a game” as his decision meant that she was dumped from the Love Island villa this evening.
During tonight’s surprise recoupling, the boys had to choose which girl they wanted to couple up with.
After Leanne broke off their coupling earlier this week, Mike chose to recouple with Sophie Piper instead.
In her first interview since the dumping, Leanne admitted that she wasn’t surprised that Mike chose to recouple with Sophie instead.
Me and Mike, we didn’t work. I feel he’s justified in what he did by picking Sophie. That’s a big thing to do – it’s a bold move to make.
“But I feel like he’s disregarded the two weeks we spent together and I feel like sending me home was a bit of a kick in the teeth, but it might also be my karma for dumping him,” she said. “Beforehand, we had a good connection as friends, I would have thought he would have had that loyalty with me more. But he can crack on and I’m happy for him, I want him to be happy.”
Leanne added: “I was 100 per cent expecting it. I just knew I was going home.”
Questioned on whether she thought anyone was playing a game, Leanne said: “Maybe Mike now… it’ll be easier for him to crack on and do his thing without me there.”
She also reckons that Mike doesn’t have a chance with Sophie: “Oh, be serious… There’s absolutely no way! I think they’re just good friends and they’re in a friendship couple.”
Leanne admitted that she felt the hardest part of being in Love Island had been breaking up with Mike.
She said: “After you break up with someone, you don’t normally live with the person… The Villa is a small place when you don’t want to be around someone. It can make it awkward.”
