Love Island narrator Iain Stirling has had his say on girlfriend Laura Whitmore joining the team as the new host.
Laura was announced to be replacing Caroline Flack as presenter last month, weeks ahead of the series launching in South Africa.
Caroline confirmed she had stepped down from the latest series following a recent assault charge in December.
She was arrested at her London home on Thursday 12 December accused of attacking her boyfriend Lewis – while the host pleaded not guilty in court, with Lewis also standing by her.
Now, her co-star Iain has shared his thoughts on her replacement Laura, revealing it would allow them to spend more time together.
Andrea McLean asked the guest about the change, commenting on the fact Caroline would not be on the show.
Iain didn’t mention the former host, but nodded to confirm the shake-up before praising his partner.
He said: “She’s great isn’t she. I think she’s great.”
Iain added: “Yes I love her,” before joking: “And there are mortgage commitments that need to be considered…”
Asked whether he and his girlfriend would be able to see more of each other while the show is on, given they’re both involved, Iain explained this would be the case.
He said: “More, because she’ll be coming back and forth to South Africa every now and again.
“I’m there the whole time. They take me to a hot country and put me in a box!”
On the series ahead with Laura on board, he added: “Yeah, I’m really looking forward to it.”
The show will launch on January 12th at 9pm on ITV2, and will be the first series without Caroline.
It’s thought the winter edition will be on screen for fewer weeks than the summer edition.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV.
