Maura Higgins has admitted she doesn’t see as much of Curtis Pritchard as they had hoped.
The Love Island finalists have been busy forging TV careers after leaving the villa and struggle to find the time to spend together.
However, Maura confessed she is spending every single day with another man – her Dancing On Ice partner Alexander Demetriou.
Speaking on today’s Loose Women, Carol McGiffin joked: “Everyone thinks you’ll be getting off with your partner.
Maura replied: “We get on really well and we spend every day together. We have to get on and have a connection.”
When asked if Curtis is worried about her doing the skating show, Maura said: “I do’ think he’s worried and I’m very lucky as Curtis is used to the whole dancing world. He knows you have to have a connection with your partner.”
The Love Island star claimed Curtis still gives her ‘the flutters’ – having recently posted a steamy snap of them in the bath together.
On their secret to staying together, she said: “I think the both of us support one another and don’t see each other a much as we hoped.
“We’re busy and because we’re in the same line of work we understand it. When we see each other it’s amazing.”
Maura will be taking to the ice for her first live performance on Sunday.
The worried skater admitted: “I’m a nervous wreck. Everyone was asking me last Sunday how I was feeling and I said I just want to get on the ice now.
“I’m feeling very nervous. This is the most nervous I’ve been feeling about anything in my life. Just watching and seeing how well everyone has done and now I have to do better.”
Maura aslo revealed she has been suffering from a rib injury after a horror fall – and will risk doing damage again in the same lfit.
She added: “I’m not scared of the lifts, no, but that lift I hurt my ribs bad. We tried to do a stumble out.
“I don’t know what happened but I really injured myself and it hasn’t healed. I’m a bit nervous on doing that on Sunday.”
