Maura Higgins could be forced to pull out of Sunday’s Dancing On Ice after falling ill

Maura Higgins could be forced to pull out of Sunday’s Dancing On Ice live show after she fell ill.

The Love Island star, 29, posted to Instagram and told her 2 million plus followers she was “praying for a miracle” to help her recover in time after suffering with a “high temperature”.

Maura is partnered up with Alexander Demetriou and is a fan favourite on this year’s series of the hit ITV show.

Posting a photo of herself lying in bed looking upset, the Irish star said: “My training was cancelled today as my temperature was too high!

“Praying I’m good for Sunday but might need a miracle.”

Last week Maura danced to the Jessie Ware song Say You Love Me but the judges were not overly impressed and gave her 25 points – putting her joint third bottom with Caprice.

If Maura is forced to sit out this week’s episode, it will come as a further blow to the ITV show.

Earlier in the series it was announced that Caprice and dance partner Hamish had split.

It was claimed the two did not get on and the former model had threatened to quit unless she was given a new person to perform with.

Today Hamish broke his silence over the drama and posted to social media that the “truth always comes out”.

In a message posted on Twitter, he wrote: “Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your kind messages.

“I’ve been overwhelmed by your love and support – it’s brought me to tears at times.

“Honestly, I’m not okay, but I’d like to thank Amelia, my pro family and ITV for doing all they can to support me.

“I’m comforted knowing the truth always comes out in the end, and I hope we can focus on the skating again now.”
