Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright, both 32, are usually one couple who can be counted on to be preened to perfection.
However, for New Years Eve the couple decided to ditch their usually clean cut looks to transform for their fancy dress themed bash and encouraged their guests to come as a person or character that was inspired by the first initial of their name.
The happily married couple led the way by both turning up to the epic get together dressed as Marilyn’s – Mark unleashed his inner goth by transforming into American singer Marilyn Manson and Michelle opted to disguise herself as movie icon Marilyn Monroe.
Going all out to welcome 2020, handsome Mark donned a black wig that was cut into a jaw-length bob and painted his face with a white base and lined his lips with a red lipstick and rimmed his eyes with dark eyeliner.
Continuing to mimic the Tainted Love hitmaker’s style, the former TOWIE star slipped his physique into a grey waistcoat with matching trousers paired with a black shirt and braces.
For a final touch he modelled black leather gloves.
Michelle oozed Hollywood glamour as she wowed in a peroxide blonde curly wig – synonymous with the blonde bombshell she was mimicking and completed her copycat look by wearing a white dress that was based on Monroe’s famous ensemble from the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch.
Mark gave fans an update of his party by sharing a number of images to his Instagram page on Wednesday alongside a caption detailing how the duo threw the party for their family and friends.
“Marilyn and Marilyn threw 1 helluva fancy dress NYE bash last night. what a way to see in the new year, all of our friends and family in 1 room having the time of our lives.
“Thanks for being there you lot and happy new year to everybody. p.s the theme was, something beginning with the first letter of your first name !!”
It is not the only time the pair dressed up over the festive break.
Mark shared a hilarious snap with wife Michelle as the couple dressed up as Mr and Mrs Incredible.
The TV presenter posted the picture on Instagram to his 1.6million followers, writing: “Do not f*** with us !! Merry Christmas.”
The loved-up couple, who have been married since 2015, could be seen ditching their regular attire for superhero costumes as they posed for the camera.
A stunning Christmas tree was seen behind them in the festive snap.
