The son of Weeds and Orange Is The New Black creator Jenji Kohan has died in a horror skiing accident.
Charlie Noxon, 20, was involved in a tragic accident on the slopes in Park City, Utah, on New Year’s Eve, TMZ reports.
Law enforcement officers told the site that he fell and was in urgent need of medical attention.
A helicopter from the University of Utah’s Medivac Unit was dispatched and took Charlie to a nearby hospital.
He was later pronounced dead.
No other details about the accident or about the injuries Charlie suffered have been released.
Charlie is the son of TV creator Jenji and journalist Christopher Noxon.
His parents had divorced in 2018 after 21 years of marriage.
Charlie appeared in an episode of his mum’s show Weeds back in 2008.
He had been skiing in Park City with his father and his two younger siblings, Eliza and Oscar, when the accident occurred.
Charlie’s body is currently with the Medical Examiner and a post mortem examination is due to be carried out.
Jenji had dropped her son off at university just a few months ago.
In September, she shared a picture of him smiling as he posed up in his dorm room.
She said: “And now Charlie is in his dorm. Two moves, two universities, one weekend. #lonelymommy #thekidsarealright”
The family live in Los Angeles and are a close knit one.
Jenji regularly shares pictures of her children on her Instagram account.
In August, the family enjoyed a trip to New York together, where Charlie posed up on Brooklyn Bridge with his sister.
Smiling, they wrapped their arms around each other as they took in the sights.
Jenji has also shared a number of pictures of her children coming to visit her on the set of her hit Netflix show Orange is The New Black.
