The Mysterious Girl singer penned: “It feels too soon to be making all these changes, but having said that, people need to get some sense of normality back and many want to work, I pray there isn’t going to be a second spike that’s even worse.

“Hopefully the virus is slowing to the point where it can be sustained until a vaccine is found. By the way, I’m bloody excited about going out for dinner with Ems on a date night when the restaurants open!”

He later added: “The first thing I want to do is go out for dinner – we’ve really missed out date nights.”

Emily recently found out that she did battle coronavirus at the start out the outbreak after testing positive for antibodies.

The junior doctor, who works at a hospital in Surrey, fell sick at the start of the Covid-19 outbreak, but the couple decided to keep her illness secret from their kids.

Emily suffered coronavirus symptoms including a sore throat, muscle aches and loss of taste and smell.

The couple later revealed they decided not to tell their children because they didn’t want to worry them.

Speaking in the new episode of their YouTube reality show, Pete reveals they know know Emily definitely had Covid-19 at the time.

He says: “There’s excellent news that you got your antibody test and that you’re opsitive.”

Emily adds: “To be honest we thought it would be… it means that my body has mounted an immune response to the Covid virus at some point in the past.

“It means I had it. I felt a bit under, I had a bit of a sore throat my glands were up. The bizarre thing was the taste and smell – I’ve never experienced that with any othervirus. “

During Emily’s illness, she had to self-isolate from the entire family and Pete had to bring her meals and leave them outside her bedroom door.

He called that time “really tricky”.

Emily added: “It’s nice to know I wasn’t going mad, I did have it.

“Having antibodies doens’t mean you are immune – you still have to follow the same social distancing as everyone else, but it’s good to know.”

After Emily fell ill, Pete’s teenage son Junior also became unwell and had to self-isolate at the family home.

However, it’s not yet known whether Junior also had Covid-19.
