Sabrina the Teenage Witch actress Melissa Joan Hart is set to embark on a new adventure.
The actress is going to direct an episode of comedy series Young Sheldon, and she couldn’t be any more thrilled.
Melissa, 43, who has enjoyed a successful TV career, will be on-hand to direct parts of the comedy show and admitted it’s a “career highlight”.
She is best known for playing household characters in the sitcoms Clarissa Explains It All, Melissa & Joey, and of course, Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Overwhelmed with joy, she took to Instagram on Monday to share the amazing news and fans were left chuffed for her.
Melissa wrote: “A career highlight to be at the helm on the amazing set of #YoungSheldon this week. I love working with talented, hard working and funny people! #GodBlesstheFunnyPeople”.
The actress received an incredible response, with one fan asking: “Love this show. Are you directing an episode? Can’t wait to see it.”
Another wrote: “So exciting for you!!! Congratulations”.
One admitted they will watch the Young Sheldon series as she is in it.
They penned: “Gonna watch it because you are in it”.
Days before Melissa made her huge announcement, she dropped cryptic hints about her new secret project on Instagram.
She teased her followers with a behind-the-scenes clip from a studio showing herself reading a script.
The star wrote alongside her snap: “Another hint about the exciting project I get to be a part of this month! Any guesses?”
But now it seems the secret is out and Melissa has a whole lot of work to do as she prepares for the once-in-a-lifetime role.
