Stacey Solomon has won huge praise from fans after showing a candid picture of herself at the pool with baby Rex.
The snap sees Stacey in a tropical two piece bikini, cradling her youngest son on her knee as they both sport huge grins on their faces.
As she posted it to Instagram , Stacey said she was proud of her body and wouldn’t be changing a thing about herself in the new year.
January is often the time celebs leap on the weight loss bandwagon and plug diet products and exercise programs, but Stacey was happy to buck the trend.
“New year, same me,” she joked.
“Why change something that brought me the most happiness I could ever imagine. That brought me the smiley seven month old in the picture and the most amazing 11 year old taking it. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she mused.
“Here’s to another year of loving our bodies no matter how hard society tries to stop us,” Stacey, 30, vowed.
Her followers on the site began to tell the mum how refreshing it was to hear a famous face calling for body confidence and so at ease with their curves.
After sharing the pic, Stacey took to her Instagram story to share just some of the messages she’d received.
One read: “I swear Stacey Solomon can read my mind. Just when I start slipping into the ‘I hate my body’ s***. Boom there she is looking beaut and speaking sense.”
While another of Stacey’s fans wrote: “I refuse to spend any longer beating myself up for my weight on the scales, how I look, what food I eat, if I skip the gym. None of that matters!”
After enjoying her last day off at her local swimming pool with her kids, Stacey returned to work on Loose Women today.
Over the last few weeks the former X Factor star has enjoyed spending some quality time with her boyfriend Joe Swash their son Rex and her other two boys at Christmas.
Though Stacey admitted she was missing Leighton and Zachery as they went to say at their respective dads.
Posting a pic of her alone with Rex, Stacey wrote: “We always miss each other, but are so grateful to have gotten some one on one time making memories with all of our boys.
“Together time is wonderful but time apart is important and lovely too…Rex and me can’t wait to get back home tomorrow and see the rest of the Swash-Solomon gang.”
