Stormzy has dropped a diss track taking aim at Wiley amid an escalating feud between the rappers.

Last year’s Glastonbury headliner today released the expletive-laden Disappointed, in which he calls the 40-year-old fellow grime artist an “old man” with “a death wish”.

The song sees Stormzy barring over a drill track while covering everything from Wiley’s Twitter antics, physical altercations with family members and bragging that the only thing bigger than hi last year was Brexit.

The row began with a Twitter spat last week after Wiley, 40, criticised Stormzy, 26, for working with Ed Sheeran on the number one single Own It.

The pair exchanged insults on Twitter last week, with Wiley claiming the only reason Jay-Z wanted to work with Stormzy was because Sheeran was involved.

Stormzy responded by branding Wiley a “pr**k” and claiming Wiley’s public anger was at odds with private messages he had sent.

Stormzy responded to Wiley’s criticism with the lyric: “They say that I’m pop, I don’t mind that… I’m so big that the only thing bigger than me last year was Brexit . I can’t tweet, I’m too reckless. I’m too BBC Breakfast.”

Stormzy clapped back with ‘Disappointed’ after Wiley, dubbed the Godfather of Grime, produced his own diss track mocking his rival, titled Eediyat Skengman.

In the song, which was uploaded to YouTube on Sunday, Wiley said: “You never cared about grime, you just used it. Worse than Edward, you watered down music.”

Following Stormzy’s response, Wiley suggested he was about to produce another rebuke to the Brit award-winner, tweeting: “I am replying to his dub got studio in half hour.”

After Own It became the first number one single of 2020, Stormzy said Wiley should stop using social media while drunk.

He added that he felt sorry for Sheeran, who is abroad on a break from music, for having to worry about their spat.

He said: “This is why it’s even worse, because Ed’s the kindest, nicest soul ever.

“He’s just trying to travel the world and he’s probably getting notifications. But I said, ‘Don’t worry I’ll do all the trolling’.”

In August Wiley accused Sheeran of “using grime to look good”.

Wiley and Sheeran worked together on the track You, from Sheeran’s EP No.5 Collaborations Project in 2011.
