Summer Monteys-Fullam’s mum has accused Paul Hollywood of using his age to “control” her daughter.
Paul, 53, and Summer, 24, broke up last year when she refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement forbidding her from discussing their relationship with anyone, including her own family.
Her mum Sabina has now said that while she didn’t have a problem with their near 30 year age gap, she suggested the Great British Bake Off judge had used it to “manipulate” Summer.
Sabina had been doing a question and answer session with her 12,400 Instagram followers when one asked: “Were you OK with Summer’s age gap relationship?
She answered: “It’s all about the dynamic of the relationship; if the older person is using their seniority as a way of manipulation and control then that’s a negative but apart from that if the dynamic’s good then it’s good.
“Age is not a problem.”
Mirror Online has contacted Paul’s reps for comment.
The pair called time on their two-year romance amid reports Paul had demanded Summer sign NDA documents stopping her from chatting about their relationship.
Following their acrimonious split, it was reported Paul banned Summer from the home they shared.
She got with the Great British Bake-Off mogul in 2017 after he separated from his estranged wife Alex Hollywood.
Following their messy breakup, Summer was irritated by claims that she had used Paul to find fame and fortune.
She told New! magazine: “People think I’ve used this relationship to be successful, when people see a younger girl with an older guy or vice versa, they think that person is using the wealthier partner – but that’s far from the truth.”
Self-sufficient Summer says she now has her ‘fingers in a lot of pies’ and lists horse whisperer and laser practitioner on her varied CV.
