Emmerdale fans may have spotted a familiar face on the ITV soap on Wednesday, during the New Year’s Day special.
During the episode, Moira Dingle clashed with estranged husband Cain yet again, as he still refused to forgive her for cheating on him with his secret son Nate Robinson.
Moira did her best to get the farm back on track after losing business contacts and even colleagues, recently hitting the booze.
She set up a meeting with a potential new client, George, with them coming face-to-face in the pub.
Things took an awkward turn though, when Cain claimed she hopped into bed with her business partners in front of George.
Later on, George himself hinted he wanted to sleep with her and turned quite aggressive when she refused.
Moira was quick to call him out, with George then judging her over her apparent reputation.
But viewers may have recognised the newcomer on the show, as he’s a pretty familiar face.
George was played by actor Stuart Laing, and he’s no stranger to soap.
He’s perhaps most recognised for his part on EastEnders between 2006 and 2007, when he had a fling with Dawn Swann.
Stuart played Rob Minter, the husband of the soap’s villain at the time “Mad May”.
Dawn fell pregnant, and May attempted to steal the baby from her with the help of Rob in a huge storyline.
Those who don’t watch the Walford soap may have seen him elsewhere, with him featuring in other roles on big TV shows.
Stuart has appeared on BBC daytime soap Doctors in three different roles between 2010 and 2016, while he also played four guest roles on Casualty between 1993 and 2016.
Other roles include stints on The Bill, Trial & Retribution, Silent Witness and Holby City.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
