Emmerdale’s ‘Who is Nate Robinson?’ storyline finally came to an end in October, as the newcomer was confirmed to be the secret son of Cain Dingle.
Cain was confronting the character over his affair with his wife Moira Dingle, with events taking a deadly turn on a boat in the middle of a lake.
But off the back of the twist a new question formed – who was Nate’s mother Cara?
More and more details slowly came to light, but she was yet to make her debut until now.
In the latest episode, Cara made her first appearance on the show – but who is she, who plays her and what is her past with Cain?
Who is Nate’s mum?
Nate’s mother is Cara Robinson, who didn’t make her debut on the ITV soap until January 9th 2020.
She is the ex of Cain Dingle with the pair teenage lovers, until one day she left him without word.
Cara is played by actress Carryl Thomas.
What happened between Cara and Cain Dingle?
Cara was a teenager when she fell pregnant with boyfriend Cain’s baby.
She kept the news from him, after Cain’s mum Faith Dingle advised her it wouldn’t go down well with their racist family.
Faith sent Cara away, and she brought up Nate alone while later telling her son that his father did not want to know.
Who is Nate Robinson?
Nate, played by actor Jurell Carter, was a newcomer on the soap, first appearing during the big week in May where he met Rhona Goskirk in a nightclub.
But it seems this was just the start of his plan to make his way to the village, and seek revenge on Cain – his secret dad.
Not only did he start an affair with his wife Moira, he also got the mother of his child Kyle on side (Amy Wyatt) and attempted to have her seek full custody.
Viewers knew he had a vendetta against the village bad boy, but it was only confirmed in October that he was Cain’s secret son – with his real name being Nathaniel.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
